At 3 weeks pregnant, fertilization happens—this is the official start of your baby’s journey! 🎉

✨ 3D Ultrasound at 3 Weeks

  • It’s too early to see a gestational sac, yolk sac or an embryo on an ultrasound, but big changes are happening inside!

  • By week 4-5, a gestational sac may become visible.

✨ What’s Happening?

  • The sperm meets the egg in the fallopian tube, creating a tiny zygote (fertilized egg).

  • The zygote starts dividing into more cells as it travels to the uterus.

  • By the end of this week, it becomes a blastocyst and prepares to implant into the uterine lining.

✨ Your Body’s Changes

  • You may not feel pregnant yet, but your body is already releasing hormones to support the pregnancy.

  • Some women experience implantation spotting (a light pink or brown discharge) when the blastocyst attaches to the uterus.

At 2 weeks pregnant, you’re still not technically pregnant yet! But your body is getting ready for the big moment.

✨ 3D Ultrasound at 2 Weeks

  • A 2D or a 3D ultrasound might show a mature egg in the ovary ready to be released.

  • The uterine lining is thickening, preparing for a fertilized egg to implant next week.

✨ What’s Happening?

  • Your body is ovulating, meaning an egg is released from your ovary.

  • If sperm meets the egg, fertilization can happen, starting your pregnancy journey!

✨ Your Body’s Changes

  • Hormones like estrogen and luteinizing hormone (LH) peak to trigger ovulation.

  • Some women may feel mild cramping or an increase in cervical mucus, signs that ovulation is happening.

You’re almost at the exciting moment when pregnancy begins! 💕

At 1 week pregnant, you’re technically not pregnant yet! Here’s why:

✨ 3D Ultrasound at 1 Week

  • An ultrasound wouldn’t show a baby yet, but it might show your uterus preparing for ovulation. You are in the follicular phase, days 1-7 of your menstrual cycle.

  • In about two weeks, ovulation will occur, and fertilization can happen!

✨ What’s Happening?

  • Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period, even though fertilization hasn’t happened yet.

  • Your body is preparing for ovulation (when a mature egg is released from the ovary) shedding the old uterine lining and getting ready for a new cycle.

✨ Your Body’s Changes

  • You may be having your period as your body resets for a potential pregnancy.

  • Hormones like estrogen and progesterone start working to prepare your uterus for implantation.
